Names strike me as the least interesting way to get introduced to people. How about introducing ourselves with stories， and better still， with stories that are tied to or inspired by an image or object？
Some images and objects are bound around us， even if we’re not 1）esthetic people as such. There are always familiar photographs， 2）mementos， 3）sculpture around us that we relate to 4）fondly that are an 5）abiding and treasured part of our memory.
I’d like to propose， then， that everybody in the world adopt an artistic image or object， or even a tree or flower， that best embodies thEir 6）inmost values， 7）mores or spirit. This idea is to 8）unleash a new global conversation that begins with， ‘What’s your favorite object or image？’ and follows up with， ‘What personal story does this image or object tell about you？’. This idea will make it more interesting to meet people， even strangers.
我感觉报姓名是把自己介绍给他人最无趣的一种方式。我们为什么不用故事来介绍自己呢？亦或是用更好的方式——用图像或物品背后的故事来介绍自己？
